| Current Available Grants & Sponsorship | | Grants are one of a valuable range of fundraising options available to sporting clubs, the others being sponsorship and internal fundraising. Sporting clubs are encouraged to maintain an annual diary as many grants are often released each year. This will mean you are well prepared when grants come up. | |
| Volunteer Grants - Federal Government - VERY NEW | | Volunteer Grants 2013 recognises the valuable work of Australia’s volunteers. This initiative forms part of the Australian Government’s ongoing commitment to organisations whose volunteers assist disadvantaged communities and encourage inclusion of vulnerable people in community life.
Eligible not-for-profit community organisations can apply for grants between $1,000 and $5,000 to:
Purchase portable, tangible, small equipment items to help their volunteers
Contribute to the reimbursement of fuel costs for their volunteers who use their own car to transport others to activities, deliver food, assist with medical appointments or help people in need
Contribute to the reimbursement of transport costs incurred by volunteers with disability who are unable to drive
Contribute to the cost of training courses and/or undertake background screening checks for their volunteers.

| Community Safety Grants - NEW | | The Community Safety Fund grants provide funding for communities in Victoria to implement locally based crime prevention projects. Projects can include lighting.

| Bendigo Community Bank - San Remo, Cowes, Grantville - CLOSING SOON | | Charitable and not-for-profit organisations can apply for projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for communities, contributing to their development in building social capital, community welfare, environmental, health, education or cultural areas.

| Australian Sports Commission Women’s Leadership Grants & Scholarships | | The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program provides women with opportunities to undertake training to reach their leadership potential within the industry as coaches, officials and administrators. In 2013-14, the Australian Government has committed $400,000 to be distributed through the SLGSfW. As a result, grants of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organisations per annum, and scholarships of up to $10,000 per annum over three years, are available. Grants and scholarships are available in the following categories:
• coaching
• officiating
• governance
• management and administration
• communications, media and marketing

| Putting Locals First Program | | The Putting Locals First Program has four components:
Improved Local Infrastructure - Grants up to $500,000
Local Economic Development and Job Creation - Grants up to $150,000
Local Community Initiatives - Grants up to $150,000
Local Strategic and Project Planning - Grants up to $150,000 Sporting clubs are able to apply for these grants. Recently Heyfield Tennis Club received funding to resurface their tennis courts.

| Cadbury Fundraiser Community Grants | | Cadbury Fundraiser is launching a Community Grants program in 2013. Grants will be open to Cadbury Fundraiser customers who meet grant application criteria and are selected by a judging panel. The categories are community engagement, healthy living and learning and development.
Grant ammount: Upto $3000

| Local Sporting Champions | | The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12-18 towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships or a School Sport Australia state or national championships.
Grant applications are assessed 3 times each year. It may therefore take five-six months before you are notified of the outcome of your application.

| Country Football and Netball | | This fund assists country football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations to develop facilities including: change room facilities for players and umpires of both genders; development or upgrading of football playing fields; development or upgrading of netball facilities; and development or upgrading of lighting facilities.
Funding up to $100,000 Applications are ongoing but have review times.

| Elite Indigenous Assistance Program | | This program provides opportunities for Indigenous Athletes.
Funding: a maximum of $1,500 per financial year for eligible national championships; and/or a maximum of $4,000 per financial year for eligible international competitions Applications are ongoing

| Emergency: sporting and recreational equipment | | For replacement of essential sporting or first aid equipment.
Funding up to $2,000 Applications are ongoing and accepted up to three months after the loss of damage.

| The Contributions Program Mobil ESSO | | Purpose: To meet the important community needs in ways that is compatible with our business interests. We seek to fund specific community projects (not general fund raising appeals or discretionary funding) with defined budget items. Projects that demonstrate broad community benefits are highly regarded. We favour projects where the company and the community group can develop a close working relationship.
