GippSport's Thank You Volunteer Program provides recognition to volunteers who support the activities and programs of sporting clubs.
The “Thank You Volunteer Program” is a package of thank you cards available free of charge to all sporting clubs in Gippsland.
The program is supported by GippSport, the Department of Planning and Community Development and McDonalds Family Restaurants.
Across Gippsland, volunteers work tirelessly to give their communities access to sporting opportunities.

| The program was developed as a strategy to recognise the important role that these volunteers play in our local sporting clubs.
Each registered club can receive up to 12 cards and envelopes each year to award to volunteers within their club. At the completion of the season/year, each club can nominate one volunteer to receive a framed “Volunteer of the Year” certificate.
Clubs are encouraged to present monthly/card awards and can approach a GippSport representative to present the “Volunteer of the Year” award.
Clubs can also nominate a person each month for GippSport's Volunteer of the month who will be recognised in our Supporting Country Sport eNewsletter and recieve a $50 Voucher.
Other ways to recognise volunteers are: add a gift voucher to the card, write an article for newspaper/newsletter/website, and by submitting an article for the GippSport newsletter.
